Hi Allie, I had to go do something so I didn't finish my other post about your diagram. I do think that the new social technologies could be useful to help with emotional literacy. However, as I've said to a couple of other 402ers, there's the problem of meanness and hatefulness that has been in the news over the past few years, even with emotionally troubled young people taking their lives because of cruel usage of the social technologies by some users. So, I guess that's something we need to think about. I wonder if we should be teaching students how to prevent unwanted users, or if we need to explicitly teach facebook etiquette?
